BEAD OF THE WEEK
It can be made any size, color or design, to compliment any taste or
purpose. I love making the shape, it's distinctly feminine, which makes
perfect sense for a vessel. The sterling silver wire adds to the
silhouette, reminding me of a woman with her arms stretched over her
head. How sensual! The beaded stopper can be removed and the
chamber can be used for storing a few drops of perfume, essential oil,
a lock of hair, a kiss or a whisper. I know of one woman who uses hers
as a memorial vessel to hold the ashes of her dearly departed dog.
The possibilities are endless, and the look is timeless.

strength, wisdom, beauty and grace guide us in our
daily lives (if only we'd listen to her more often!).
Another of my very favorite creations is the
Goddess bead. She's a primative interpretation,
adorned with floral vines. I keep mine with me
always. Holding her in my hand helps me to tap
into her power and remind me of what is possible.

over twenty years. The shift from buying beads to
making them was a natural progression, and I still get
excited every time I sit down at my torch. The variety of
shapes, textures, colors and techniques is facinating to
me. Each one of my beads is carefully annealed right
from the torch, for lasting strength and durability.
